“Hands for War” is a piano DVD: a compilation of twenty-two original Adam’s Road Piano songs performed by the group’s pianist, Matt Wilder, on January 5th of 2014. These piano compositions were written and inspired by biblical concepts, themes, or verses. “Hands for War” captures a live performance of these works in such a way that tells a story and shares the Word of God. Beautiful nature footage and bible verses are combined with performance footage for edification, enjoyment, instruction, refreshment, and praise to God.

In watching “Hands for War,” Warfare is waged against the spiritual forces of evil as we Walk to the Cross, experiencing life through His death. Alive and Free we celebrate our release from the Law of sin and death, contemplating the Newness of Life in which we now thrive. Having received an Awakening by The Light of the world, we find our Triumph and Redemption in Jesus, who is our Salvation. He restores us when we falter through Trials and Temptations. Washing us with Living Water we are Renewed, being Transformed daily by the Love of God and His Word, which is a Lamp in the Night to our feet. We are on The Way Home, where there will forever be Joy in Heaven. We Remember Christ Crucified; for in Him there is No Condemnation!

Like David of the bible played the lyre to refresh King Saul, Adam’s Road hopes these piano video songs can refresh the listener while teaching the Word: “And whenever the harmful spirit from God was upon Saul, David took the lyre and played it with his hand. So Saul was refreshed and was well, and the harmful spirit departed from him” (1 Samuel 16:23).

The title for this project, “Hands for War,” was inspired by Psalm 144:1: “Of David. Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.” We fight a battle against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, and our most effective weapon is the sword of the Spirit: the Word of God (Ephesians 6:12; 17). May worshipful praise and glory be given to God through this project as we continue to combat the cosmic powers over this present darkness!
