Lila LeBaron was born and raised in a fundamental (polygamist) Mormon community in Chihuahua, Mexico. Her father had 4 wives and she had 33 brothers and sisters. As a young girl, her parents were divorced and she began attending a Christian Bible study for the first time in her life. Lila embarked on a journey of reading God's Word and coming to understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ in her early teens. At 13, she was baptized as a Christian.
