Adam’s Road Piano is a branch of Adam’s Road. This ministry proclaims Holy Scripture, in combination with original piano music and hymn arrangements, offered to God as an aroma of Christ to help spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere.
The Spoken Word and Music
Jesus said, “The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life” (John 6:63). There is power in speaking scripture. Adam’s Road Piano combines a refreshing expression of praise and worship through instrumental piano music with heartfelt recitation of God’s Word, to renew faith and enrich hearts with the wonder of God’s grace. “Praise the Lord...Praise Him with strings and pipe” (Psalms 150:1, 4). Like David of the Bible played the lyre to refresh King Saul, Adam’s Road Piano presentations are intended to refresh the listener while teaching the Word: “And whenever the harmful spirit from God was upon Saul, David took the lyre and played it with his hand. So Saul was refreshed and was well, and the harmful spirit departed from him” (1 Samuel 16:23).
Adam’s Road’s pianist, Matt Wilder, has an intense love and passion for Jesus Christ and His Word. With Scripture at the forefront, he also gives thanks to the Lord with his instrument, making melody to him on the piano. “Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings” (Psalm 33:2).
"Adam's Road Piano may very well be one of the most impactful, inspiring ministries to ever come through our doors. The music is delightful, weaving haunting melodies of old with the freshness of new composition. It's absolutely beautiful to behold the God-given gift demonstrated at the piano. What talent! However, when the WORD is presented as it is through Adam's Road Piano, its transforming power changes hearts and minds in a way that I've never seen before. It stirs the desire to KNOW the WORD and hide it in your heart as this ministry has done so wonderfully. Adam's Road Piano is doing the work in a worthy manner and being used mightily by our great God. Hallelujah!"

Adam’s Road Piano Live: Journey through the Gospel
Adam’s Road Piano events provide an in-depth journey through the Gospel in spoken word and music: a time of worshipful piano music played to the praise and glory of Jesus Christ. The current program includes a combination of original Adam’s Road Piano repertoire and original Christian hymn arrangements. The story of God's love through the Gospel is passionately shared. Interspersed throughout the concert are sections in which the pianist narrates the story of the Gospel and shares Bible verses while providing musical underlay on the piano: highlighting the creation and fall of mankind, the incarnation, the cross, the resurrection, and the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Joy in Christ
“Hands for War” is a piano DVD: a compilation of twenty-two original Adam’s Road Piano songs performed by the group’s pianist, Matt Wilder, on January 5th of 2014. These piano compositions were written and inspired by biblical concepts, themes, or verses. “Hands for War” captures a live performance of these works in such a way that tells a story and shares the Word of God. Beautiful nature footage and bible verses are combined with performance footage for edification, enjoyment, instruction, refreshment, and praise to God.
Like David of the Bible played the lyre to refresh King Saul, Adam’s Road hopes these piano video songs can refresh the listener while teaching the Word: “And whenever the harmful spirit from God was upon Saul, David took the lyre and played it with his hand. So Saul was refreshed and was well, and the harmful spirit departed from him” (1 Samuel 16:23).
The title for this project, “Hands for War,” was inspired by Psalm 144:1: “Of David. Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.” We fight a battle against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, and our most effective weapon is the sword of the Spirit: the Word of God (Ephesians 6:12; 17). May worshipful praise and glory be given to God through this project as we continue to combat the cosmic powers over this present darkness!
